Flower Head

I got Nora all dolled up on Sunday. (Lena, notice anything familiar?)

She is now obsessed with those stupid Asian beetles. She keeps finding them EVERYWHERE and saying, "Buuug! Buuuuuug!" and she picks them up and plays with them to death. Can you see the one on this photo?

"Buuuug! Buuuuug!"

She wears her sunglasses for naps.

Keepin' a baby boy happy sometimes requires a swing.

The end!

A Friendly Reminder from Your Dill

If you happen to hear anyone complaining about not being able to see photos and videos of my kids, kindly remind/inform them that they can visit this blog. Feel free to just copy and paste that sucker up there in the address bar (http://www.xanga.com/thedill) right into an email to them if you have to. Ain't no shame in it.

I post all of my photos and videos on here these days (well, the ones I choose to share on the internet, of course), and they can be seen by everyone.

Ah-thank you. Good day.

Photoshoot with Henry!

Henry and I did a little impromptu photo shoot this afternoon. He was quite cooperative.

Now, if only I were a half-way decent photographer . . . *sigh*

Nora's Hairdo

Nora's hair was all straight and weird today. (I gave her a bath yesterday and applied too much baby oil to her hair, and it totally destroyed her curls.) So, I decided it was high time to try to give her French braided pigtails. It was about impossible to get her to keep her head still, but I managed to get something that looked a little like what it was supposed to. I'm sure it's going to fall out before nap time (or during nap time), but it's still fun! Check 'er out:

"Let's go into Mommy and Daddy's room!"

Stealing a bag from Mommy and Daddy's room.

She's not really supposed to be doing this.

But, I couldn't help but take pictures of it.

She's pretty good at getting into stuff . . .

. . . as you can see.

I'm not sure what was happening here, though.

Sleepy Boy

Henry slept for nearly eight hours straight last night! I don't know how he did it (because he's ALWAYS been under the five-hour mark), but it was glorious. Unfortunately, Nora cried in the middle of the night during that long stretch. Willis went in there to take care of her, and every time he does, she goes right back down. So, two steps forward, one step back, I guess. I'll take it.

I, of course, wasn't in bed the whole time that Henry slept the eight hour stretch. We laid him down in his bassinet at about 8 p.m., and he woke up at 4 a.m. I was in bed close to 10 p.m. So, I got a decent chunk of that (and I'm thrilled)!

I don't expect him to do this every night, but it sure was a nice, little present! He's getting so big. I think that our restless nights will be waning now. I'm so glad!

Morning nap.

Did I mention that he's a thumb-sucker? That's why I don't swaddle his arms down. He's just like his big sister.

Little Eyes

Last night, we were eating dinner, and Nora noticed that Hobbes was standing up in the kitchen. (I always make Hobbes sit or lay down in the kitchen while we eat to keep him from taking food from kids and begging.) It took Willis and I a second (we were deep in conversation) to realize that Nora was yelling at Hobbes, "NO! SIT DOWN!"

Little eyes, man. Little eyes.

Sheesh

Henry is two months old today, and I, like, totally missed it. (I was here with him and all, but I didn't acknowledge the fact that he was two months old today like I did every stinking month and day with Nora when she was that small.)

This poor kid is so getting the short end of the stick in photo representation and age recognition right now. If he's anything like his dad, though, he's not going to give two hoots about that. So . . . I'm gunnin' for that . . . except for the days when I'm not (and those are the days when I post photos and videos).

Bed!
